However, Senator Padmé Amidala managed to save her comrades' lives by exposing Jabba's uncle Ziro as the instigator behind Rotta's kidnapping. Since they had failed to deliver the kidnapper, Jabba wanted to execute Skywalker and Tano as well. Any character with Force abilities can pull the Gonk out of the socket, then speak to the droid to recruit it to the Knights of Gonk.
